Lavender Fields

I love driving upcountry and spending the morning at the Lavender Farm. I always enjoy a nice hot cup of lavender chamomile tea and a lavender scone with some lavender honey. It's one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It also means so much to me because this is a place my dad and I went to every year together, and now when I go back I can think of the memories we shared.

I originally was wearing a pair of high waisted cut off shorts and a plain white t-shirt, but my mom reminded me that it's much colder in the mountains.  I went for my trusted LF Carmar crochet boyfriend jeans, a flowy Free People tank, and a Kimono over it for added warmth (and easy to take off if it is warm). I also thought the colors in the Kimono and pattern matched nicely with the background of the farm.

Here are some more of my favorite pictures from the day.

Bonus: If you head up to the Lavender Farm, there is the most amazing food truck up there now. You can enjoy the best Fried Zucchini and Pulled Pork sliders, while playing with the most adorable teacup Yorki. It's clearly a win win situation.

Chevron Tuesday

Romper// LF Robertson
Shoes// Sam Edelman
Necklace// Vanessa Mooney
Hat// BCBG
Bracelet// Lucky Brand

It never fails that on vacation I get injured or sick. Last summer in Greece I got some sort of weird allergic reaction to something on my ear (Dr. McDreamy came to my rescue), so while I tried to remain positive about this vacation...it inevitably happened. After a few days of not feeling so great, my mom and I decided to stay in the room for the day. We ordered room service, watched Wolf of Wallstreet (I just wanna know what happened to Jonah Hill at the end!!), took some naps, and read a lot. By the end of the day I was starting to feel better and decided that I wanted to dress up a little and go out to dinner. It was a Chevron kind of night. I paired my LF Romper with my favorite Vanessa Mooney necklace, and these Sam Edelman heels to dress it up a little. I wish I would have had a very light washed denim jacket to throw on and the look would have been perfect.

After I get all of my pictures together I'll post soon about my snorkeling adventure seeing sea turtles!

Lahiana Arts and Food

One of my favorite things to do when I come to Maui is go to the art fair in Lahiana at the Banyon Tree. It's one of the best places to find great jewelry. I opted to wear a pair of colorful floral printed soft shorts. Soft shorts are probably one of my favorite go to summer pieces, because they are very flattering and keep cool. I'm also just gonna throw it out there that  my hair hasn't been washed in a while, and it was air dried...so maybe we can just ignore how it looks ( I mean.. really who does their hair on vacation?)?

These two pieces were a fun find made by Chad Durgan of CDSO designs. He hand makes all of his jewelry. I love the rustic look the bracelet has, and the necklace will be a great fall transition piece.

Mastrich Metals
This might be my absolute favorite piece i've gotten so far on my trip. Devon Mastrich of Mastrich Metals told me that she had been saving this stone for 10 years before she was inspired to make it into a necklace. I wish this picture did it justice. The way the necklace shimmers in the sunlight is absolutely beautiful, I can understand why it was hard for the artist to let it go.
Banyon Tree
Food, is the other thing that keeps me coming to Lahiana every year. Over the course of the day I enjoyed a wonderful iced coffee made with coffee ice cubes (genius), honeydew melon milk boba tea, and sandy beach gelato (peanut butter, graham cracker, and salted carmel).

If you've been to Maui before I'd love to know what some of your must see places are! Stay tuned for my yacht and snorkeling excursion!

Resort Lounging

Romper// LF Robertson
Bralette// La Mer
Shoes// Sam Edleman
Necklace// Lf Robertson
My first day of being at the resort all day was full of listening to Hillary Duff on repeat while being a slave to my inner-laziness. I started the morning off with a Mango granola parfait (typical blogger breakfast minus avocado toast, according to instagram) and found myself wondering why I wasn't eating chocolate chip pancakes. I then finished my coffee diluted with soy milk and sugar and took a nice walk around the resort grounds in this colorful romper that I'm convinced makes me look almost sort-of-kind-of tan. I then proceeded to lay out on the beach alternating between Hillary Duff and Becky G on repeat until I felt like I was possibly turning into a lobster.

I have a hard time making it through a day in the same outfit, which causes quite a bit of laundry for me. After my mom and I were done with our beach laziness, we headed down to the shops of Wailea to eat at one of our favorite sushi restaurants. KAI Wailea has the most addictive spicy edamame. I opted to wear boyfriend jeans, because at night there is often a chilly breeze.  This is one of my favorite tank tops, because of the unexpected low back. The burnt orange Steve Madden sandals and turquoise necklace give the outfit a bit of color, making it not so boring. Unlike LA, Maui is slow-paced and I think this outfit reflects the relaxed energy of this island.

So excited to be sharing this trip with you guys, and I can't wait to give you guys frequent updates! Be on the lookout for a giveaway before the end of my trip!!

Airport Casual And The Joys of Packing

Top// LF Robertson
Pants// LF Robertson
Jacket// Blank NYC (bought at Nordstroms)
Shoes// Steve Madden

I always find myself contemplating for days what to wear on the airplane when I'm going on a trip. The lazy side of me would love to wear a pair of yoga pants and relishes in the memories of that time when wearing Juicy Couture track suits while traveling was a thing. The key is to find an outfit that feels like pajamas...but is not pajamas. As we all know airplanes are ALWAYS freezing (or at least for me), so I have to consider this when getting dressed. The pants that I am wearing in this picture might as well be pajama pants because that is how comfortable they are. I've been in search of a denim jacket with leather sleeves with the right baggy fit and wash for years, so when I found this Blank NYC jacket at Nordstrom's the other day in the Savy Section I knew I had to buy it (the hood made it possible for me to take a nice comfy nap on the flight).

Packing is just as much of a struggle for me as trying to figure out what to wear to the airport. Typically, I pack like a 5 year old who is pretty sure they are never coming back home (so I clearly bring everything I own). I typically go through my entire closet and throw everything I want to bring onto the floor and roll it up into balls and throw it in my suit case. It's pretty much a disaster.  Everything is wrinkled upon arrival andI can't find anything. I've also brought so much that I don't have enough hangers or space in the hotel room to hang everything up. This year I attempted to be orderly, pack less, and fold my clothes. As you can see above this was relatively successful, until 20 minutes before my mom and I were supposed to leave for the airport my whole suitcase broke.... Everything was then thrown (literally) into a duffel bag. This was a wonderful omen for what was to come the rest of the day. I lost my drivers license in the airport and had to trace back my steps until I found it. I then lost my phone later that day (found it), lost my credit card (didn't find), and my favorite restaurant on the island stopped serving my favorite meal.

When your in paradise though nothing seems to matter! This island has such a special place in my heart. I have been coming here for the last 12 years and have shared so many beautiful memories with my mom, dad, and friends. I wish my dad could be here to share in this summers experiences, but I know he is smiling down at me and my mom from heaven enjoying watching us have an amazing time.

Have you guys been to Maui? What are some of your must sees and favorite places on the island?! I'd love to know. Follow me daily for my outfits, adventures, and finds here in Maui.

70's Inspired

Top// LF Robertson
Pants// Mossimo (Target)
Shoes// Top Shop LA
Jewelry// LF Robertson
Hat// Janessa Leone Vera Hat (bought at LF Robertson)

I didn't make it to Coachella this year (or any other year) but seeing Hair at the Hollywood Bowl Friday night in my 70's inspired outfit kinda made up for my lack of festival experiences. The soft flowy Target pants I wore are the perfect example of #targetdoesitagain. I also have a long running obsession with last summers Top Shop heals I wore, because if I close my eyes I can imagine myself as the 7th Brady Bunch sibling. A flower headpiece could also be a great alternative to the hat I wore with this outfit....I just seem to have a hard time making them look good on me! My first experience at the Hollywood Bowl with the star studded cast of Hair was a night to remember and such a fun way to celebrate my beautiful friend's 25th birthday! I may or may not have died a little inside seeing Kristen Bell sing live, the only thing that could have made it better would be to see Kristen Bell live on stage singing with a sloth.

Have any of you guys been to the Hollywood Bow? If so what are some of your favorite memories or experiences?!
