Sunday Morning's are my favorite morning of the week. I'm an early riser, so when I get up in the morning and I'm ready to venture out for my first coffee of the day the streets of LA are empty and BEAUTIFUL! I'm especially excited when it's rainy and cloudy. It makes me so happy inside, it might as well be Christmas morning. Am I the only one in LA that loves it when it's not Sunny outside?

After a fun Saturday night making a new friend and eating at SugarFish the bestie and I had a sleepover, woke up early on Sunday and drove to The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. for some delish bagels and iced coffee with coffee iced cubes.  Why doesn't every establishment make their iced cubes out of coffee?! I fully plan on making some vanilla coffee creamer iced cubes soon and trying those out!

I'm dying for these Top Shop Moto Grey Jamie Jeans! They graze just above the ankles, which is such a flattering cut I think. I find that I prefer the look of cropped jeans over cuffed jeans lately. These may be close the most comfortable pair of jeans I own, and on top of that they are pretty reasonably priced compared to other brands like JBrand (always a plus to save a little money!). Do you have a go to favorite pair of jeans right now, or a favorite style? I'd love to hear!!

I've selected a few pair of cropped jeans I'm obsessed over right now, that you can shop!

P.S. Spotted this out and about the other day, and wanted to share! Any thoughts?!

Holiday weekends are everything right?! I had such a variety of little adventures. I saw 50 Shades of Grey (by myself) along with every other girl in the world and found it to be just as awkward as the first twilight movie, but at some level still entertaining. I popped by the PaperCrown and Rifle Paper Co. pop up shop at the grove, and when I say popped in I mean I waited for 90 minutes to get in. I bought the floral top I'm wearing in the picture above along with a pair of matching shorts, and the most precious white dress that I can't wait to shoot for the blog! It was obviously also wonderful to be in the same room as LC... don't tell me you you weren't a fan of hers from day one of Laguna Beach (Let the rain fall down and wash my feet....that song plays in my head everytime I think about that show). I saw American Sniper (I actually never go to the theaters, so two movies in 1 weekend is insane ) and sat next to the most adorable old man who ended up wanting to chit chat with me after the movie and told me some very entertaining stories. He used to be a manager for a lot of major rock and roll stars. He just had such a sweet spirit that really touched my heart at the moment. I hope he has a great week.

The most exciting thing I did was head to Malibu Cafe with one of my besties Mallory from BadWolf Brunch. I stumbled upon it on Google, and it looked too cute online not to try! This must be the best kept secret in Malibu, I have never heard anyone mention it before but it is hands down my favorite place in Los Angeles. I felt like I was on a magical vacation and I just wanted to skip around and throw flowers everywhere. We brunched, we walked around the grounds, snapped a few photos, and rowed a boat in the cute little lake. Clearly a successful Monday.

But really I highly highly recommend taking a day trip over to the cafe. I'm pretty sure this would also be a magical wedding spot. I can never pass up a good cheese board when im with Mal, I also got their signature cocktail #1 it had gin, strawberries, lime, and light and dark balsamic vingerette I think, got a yummy salad, and the highlight of the meal was roasting s'mores!! They were soooo yummy in my tummy. I'm trying to get sweets out of my system, because Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent and I am giving up desserts (ahhh wish me luck!!!).

Do you have a best kept secret in your town or city?! I'd love to hear about it. Hope you beauties had as nice of a weekend as I did.

-Xoxo Becca

P.S. I couldn't find my PaperCrown top online anywhere but I put together a selection of floral tops that I currently am loving.

Chocolate Monster Brownies

My mom hates this story when I tell it, but here it goes... One wonderful beautiful Christmas I received an Easy Bake oven like many little girls do. I was clearly overjoyed at all the wonderful cakes and cookies I could create in this magical contraption. My mom did not believe that it was okay for me to bake on my own (I mean...I probably wouldn't have burned down the house...maybe). She never seemed to have any time or desire to watch me bake (tear tear). One day after searching in my room with great frustration I discovered my Easy Bake oven was gone. My moms response "you never used it! So I gave it away" When I got into high school and she FINALLY trusted me enough to bake unsupervised, the first thing I decided to make were these yummy brownies. These brownies are not for the faint of heart. They are not gluten free, lactose free, sugar free, fat free, or anything else you may be accustomed to. They have a lot of chocolate, and are a big batch of unhealthy yummy goodness. Naturally I thought they were the perfect recipe to share for Valentines Day! The best way to your mans heart is through his stomach right? Or you could make them for your bestie and she will love you forever!!

Directions

You will need a box of Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie Mix (probably any premade brownie mix will do, but this is the one I typically use), 1 bag of semi chocolate chips, 1 bag of milk chocolate chips, 1 jar of Hershey's Chocolate Hot Fudge, and the ingredients required for the boxed Brownie Mix.

1. Add all of the ingredients on the back of the brownie box. I typically add a little more oil then the box says.
2. I then add the entire bag of semi sweet chocolate chips, 3/4 of the bag of milk chocolate chips, and the entire jar of Hershey's Chocolate Hot fudge.

3. Mix everything together and make sure you get all of the mix at the bottom!!
4. Pour into pan, I usually use a 13X9 disposable pan so that I have less clean up.
5. Bake at 350 degrees ( the box has different directions) for about 40 minutes, although you may have to adjust the time depending on your oven I suppose.
6. Lick the spoon and bowl and wait for your yummy treat!!

Enjoy these brownies with a loved one, or maybe you wont even want to share (hehe). My suggestion is to pair with wine or milk!
Someone is a little excited!
She was a fan
Apparently this wine was one of Oprah's favorite things in 2013
Just to mix it up a bit, I'm throwing in a few pictures Steph took of me in the lobby after we made brownies since I haven't done an outfit post recently.
